Big money in politics is eroding our equality and freedom.  And it is unjust: donations from the wealthy, large corporations, and Super PACs skew our elections toward the interests of the rich and (already) powerful.

The Citizen’s United decision by the Supreme Court, treating Corporations as “people” and allowing corporate donations has made this situation much worse in recent years.

I believe we need to bring campaigns back to an even playing field – where candidates of any party, any point of view can be fully seen and heard, and where voters can make choices based on hearing all points of view, and from all candidates.   In the world of big money, candidates with big campaign funds drown out the voices of other candidates.

To this end, I would work for and support legislation for campaign finance laws which would insure all candidates have an equal chance to be evaluated by voters on their merits and positions.
